The School of Religion, Theology, and Peace Studies invites applications for the position of Marketing, Web and External Relations Officer. The postholder will play a key role in the development and operation of a digital marketing strategy for the School across all subject areas and programmes.

The successful candidate will report to the School Administrative Manager and will be responsible for all marketing and advertising campaigns, social media content, brochures and communications across and external to College. The postholder, whose work will be critical to implementing the School’s Athena Swan Action Plan, will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders on leads and recruitment arising from such campaigns.

Applicants should submit a Curriculum Vitae, and a Cover Letter (1 x A4 page maximum) that specifically address the following points:

  • Candidates must clearly state their experience in some or all of the areas of marketing and communications in a University or comparable organization and outline the ways this experience makes them a good fit for the requirements of the post in the School of Religion, Theology, and Peace Studies.
  • Give an example of a working process that they initiated, changed or improved, and the impact of that change and any key lessons learned from the experience.
  • Outline experience in organizing a digital marketing campaign, clearly identifying the skills they brought to bear in the process.
  • Illustrate, through past examples, their ability to work on their own initiative and resolve problems.
