Material Controller

Job Summary
At Avantor, we're looking for a Materials Controller to join our business on a full-time permanent basis, based at our Biomarin site in Shanbally.
In your role, you will support the replenishment of lab consumables by placing orders with suppliers, receiving deliveries at goods in, and ensuring that the laboratory stock is put away in accordance with health & safety guidelines.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Be responsible for the management of a group of client requirements whilst anticipating their current and future requirements
• Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment by communicating with the lab and then entering orders into the system based on the business need
• Manage inbound deliveries, handling hazardous materials in accordance with health and safety processes, and handling the stock put-away operation
• Perform shipping coordination activities such as shipping material, answering calls, handling routine issues, and entering shipping information onto the database
• Dispose of waste packaging through recycling or other methods depending on whether they are classed as hazardous
• Regular stock counts, and the investigation of stock discrepancies.
