Key Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to compliance requirements (Safety, Quality, and Environmental).
  • Operating the process and equipment in accordance with the batch record, user manuals, design parameters and current standard operating procedures.
  • Receiving and verifying all raw materials, intermediates, consumables and/or solvents.
  • Monitoring and collecting data on critical parameters to anticipate potential process upsets i.e. completion of batch record, using DCS.
  • Working with Maintenance and Technical Support to respond appropriately to potential process upsets or equipment failure.
  • Contacting the appropriate help if there is a problem or an event during processing.
  • Communication during handover to other shifts, as to the process status and details of any issues/problems that have occurred.
  • Actively participating in assigned building processes such as process hazard reviews, safety audits, procedure revision, housekeeping and improvement projects.
  • Training and qualification on all specified unit operations within the building.
  • Be responsible for and complete tasks required for equipment clean-up and product turnaround.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of safety hazards, basis of safety and risk assessment and an ability to react appropriately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in execution.
  • Flexible, reliable and willingness to follow the work, undertake a variety of tasks and embrace change, willingness to provide cover when required.
  • Strong technical aptitude and have a willingness to learn new tasks/technology /upskill.
  • Proven ability to work independently and without need for direct supervision, own tasks and training, problem solve/troubleshoot.
  • Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, listening) skills.
  • E-Systems competency

This position is open to all levels of experience including those with no previous experience in the Pharma or Biopharma industry.

Personal Considerations:
The roles may require the incumbent to work a particular work schedule (days or shift) - the particular schedule will depend on the area of the business that will be supported. The job may also involve some non-scheduled call-in time to respond to plant emergencies etc. and some scheduled call-in time to attend process schools etc.

In order to be considered for this position on site in Kinsale, you need to be legally eligible to work in Ireland for the full duration of this contract. Please note there is no visa sponsorship or relocation support available for this position

  • While the description above relates specifically to process roles, depending on evolving business needs, we may be filling operator roles in other parts of the business such as Materials Management/Warehousing. Roles may be offered on a days or shift basis so successful candidates would need to be open to either.
