Mechanical Project Engineer

 

Description:

A requirement for a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support. The successful Engineer shall possess a Degree in Mechanical engineering, equivalent experience and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a relevant industry.

 

The successful Engineer will be member within the Facilities Project delivery group. The role will be both running individual projects as well as providing a mechanical support function to other site projects as required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver facility style projects E2E (end to end)
  • Qualified & experienced in pharmaceutical manufacturing sites & facility – Utility Buildings.
  • Experienced with engagement of onsite Incumbent contractors incl. site walkdowns, scoping and estimating.
  • Experienced in change control & project closeout / Financial close out and drawing updates.
  • Co-ordination and supervision of Mechanical contractor(s) during construction and commissioning activities.
  • Process Engineering Support: Carry out or provide technical direction on engineering studies related to new products or equipment.
  • Become involved in equipment/plant design to ensure that the equipment is fit for purpose, meets user, safety and GMP requirements and minimises life cycle cost.
  • Experience in working in pharmaceutical sector both API & Biologic plants minimum 5 years working experience
  • Experience in project management, project controls, change control, Mechanical Engineering & mechanical style projects., document handovers an advantage.
