Mechanical QA Skills

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical quality assurance for residential and commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Clean drivers licence able to travel across the greater Dublin area to various site locations

 

As a Mechanical QA

 

 

  • Review and assess mechanical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct on-site inspections of mechanical installations, identifying and documenting any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues. Work closely with the project team to rectify issues promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and reports of quality control assessments, inspections, and corrective actions taken. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Perform functional and performance tests on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. Analyze data to identify and address any deficiencies.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues. Provide technical guidance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in mechanical systems. Suggest and implement enhancements to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to project teams, subcontractors, and maintenance staff on best practices for quality assurance and adherence to project specifications.
  • Stay updated with local, national, and international mechanical codes and standards. Ensure all mechanical systems are in full compliance with these regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction, installation, or operation of mechanical systems in a timely and efficient manner.
