Mechanical QA Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical quality assurance for residential and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Clean drivers licence able to travel across the greater Dublin area to various site locations
As a Mechanical QA
- Review and assess mechanical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulations.
- Conduct on-site inspections of mechanical installations, identifying and documenting any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues. Work closely with the project team to rectify issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records and reports of quality control assessments, inspections, and corrective actions taken. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform functional and performance tests on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. Analyze data to identify and address any deficiencies.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues. Provide technical guidance and recommendations for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in mechanical systems. Suggest and implement enhancements to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
- Provide training and support to project teams, subcontractors, and maintenance staff on best practices for quality assurance and adherence to project specifications.
- Stay updated with local, national, and international mechanical codes and standards. Ensure all mechanical systems are in full compliance with these regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction, installation, or operation of mechanical systems in a timely and efficient manner.
