Medical Education Fellowship

The National Maternity Hospital would like to invite applications for a one year Medical Education Fellowship from July 2023.

This post will be full time for one year and may be suitable for the proposed pilot Irish Clinical Education Track (ICET, subject to approval).

The fellowship will include experience in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching and clinical research with a view to high impact publications. Support will be given for application for membership of the Academy of Medical Educators and/or Advance HE.

• Qualified as a doctor (e.g. MB, BCh)

• Eligible to be registered as a medical practitioner in Ireland

• Clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work as an effective team member

• Medical Education experience (informal or formal)

• Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland or Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
• Previous research experience
• Experience in academic counselling of students

• Experience in academic administration
