Description:
CHI will work with Epic Systems, a software company who are a world leader in this technology, to implement an electronic health record (EHR) system across the organisation, which will go live at the same time as the new hospital opens – as Ireland’s first fully digitalised hospital.
The EHR Migration Technical Analyst is a core member of the EHR team and will actively participate in the design, development, testing, support and maintenance of application and data migration activities for a range of existing hospital systems to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Data Migration plays a key role in the operation of CHI and the design, build and testing of EHR migrations between existing hospitals systems to and from the EHR system will be key to its implementation success.
The successful candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills in the area of data, databases, ETL and data migration, with SQL and HL7 experience and a proven track record of successful data migration. Previous experience within the healthcare industry would be of benefit but is not essential.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, business analysts, system administrators and external vendors to understand and provide feedback on complex functional requirements, identify gaps and technical limitations, propose solutions and workarounds and formalize solutions in technical design documents. Good communications and planning skills alongside experience of delivering to deadlines is therefore essential.
As part of this role the EHR Migration Technical Analyst will be required to attend Epic Systems training, possibly in the USA, leading to an internationally recognised qualification.
