National Account Manager

I had a really good call with Brendan and he said the following “ Its been an exciting last 12 months and for this role I am looking for someone who is comfortable with managing others; working through and partnering with our distributors and growing our various markets. Some are well established; others it’s early day and I am looking for someone who can put their own stamp on the role. We have a really good team in place and this role will be a challenge but a great one !- We operate within an attractive category; the healthy eating category and our brand is a good news Irish story and the successful candidate will gain fantastic exposure our international markets.”

 

Key Responsibilities

Accountability for profit and margin targets of Key Accounts across Europe

Form a strong working relationship with our in-market sales partners to ensure continued targeting of profitable new business in key markets

Identify and execute opportunities to drive growth in key accounts

Identify future opportunities in the marketplace through trade visits & customer/distributor knowledge-sharing to capture new business opportunities

Lead the negotiation of commercial agreements and Business Development Plans with distributors and customers, ensuring win-win outcome

Secure listings for NPD and for increased distribution in-market

Help develop and implement sales strategies to ensure company remains competitive and innovative

Ensure route to market and ways of working fit for purpose, engaging stakeholders to optimise in support of customer satisfaction and growth

Assist in monthly forecasting for all customers and liaise with supply chain team to ensure accuracy

Develop strong promotional plan with marketing team and ensure seamless in-market execution

Own, track and make recommendations around promotional calendar for all customers

Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions

 

Key Requirements/ background

Candidate will ideally have a degree or third level qualification

S/he will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience ideally in a similar role working within FMCG in a direct-to- retailer and/or distributor-to-retailer sales model

A driven individual who is adept at sales and growing business

Excellent negotiation and communication skills and Strong problem-solving skills
