Your Role:
The Operational Key Account Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting all product shipment movements between the customer’s global manufacturing network. You will be the primary contact between Kuehne+Nagel and the customer, understanding their business and supply chain strategy to ensure that our solutions match their requirements. You will proactively look for continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain. The role will initially be based between our Shannon Branch and home working with a view to being onsite with the customer in Galway later in 2021, dependant on the situation with Coronavirus.
Your Responsibilities:
- To be the primary point of contact between Kuehne + Nagel and the customer in building a partnership for future business activities
- Develop a strong working relationship with the customer’s internal teams
- Ensure the effective coordination of all day to day shipping activities for all product types across the customers’ manufacturing network
- Comply with the customer on-site Health & Safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practice, and Good Distribution Practice requirements
- Arrange and propose cost-effective solutions for outbound transportation whilst maintaining client delivery performance
- Proactively look for continuous improvements within the customer’s supply chain
- Collate data and compile reports to give the customer an overview of the supply chain performance
- Presenting to the customer on performance and areas of improvement that can be made within the customer’s supply chain
Your Skills And Experiences:
- Proven experience in freight and logistics operations
- Good knowledge of international logistics operations across shipping, transportation, customs, brokerage, manufacturing, and warehousing
- Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Knowledge and awareness of Temperature controlled shipping (Ambient and Cold Chain)
- Strong analytical skills and an exceptional eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven customer-centric approach
- A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
- Able to fulfill time-critical tasks on time, keep schedules and deadlines to deliver in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
