Operational Resilience Manager

Description:

We are looking for an Operational Resilience Manager - responsible for providing knowledge, skills and support to business areas that will enable them to establish all aspects of Operational Resilience.

Lead the implementation of both the CBI guidance on operational resilience, known as 'Cross industry guidance on operational resilience' and Group Operational Resilience business standard and framework for the Irish Life (Aviva Life and Pensions Insurance DAC - ALPI) and Irish GI (Aviva Insurance Ireland DAC - AIIDAC) entities.

You will support the team in embedding the principles of the new regulations, documenting, and testing these plans.

• Support function risk and control assessments
• Working in partnership with our stakeholders to support the implementation, embedding and improvement of Operational Resilience policies and frameworks
• Providing guidance, from an Operational Resilience perspective, on the proposed designs of new or changing products, processes, and IT services
• Working with key business and resilience stakeholders to provide insights into best practice and using analysis, experience, and judgement to provide a view of resilience
• Acting as a trusted adviser to establish strong relationships with business and functional leads
• Supporting the development of robust resilience plans
• Industry standards and best practice in governance
• Risk & control management
• Thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and industry better practice
• Promote and advocate ideas persuasively and listen attentively
• Proven track record in designing, implementing, and delivering operational resilience and business continuity frameworks
• A curious and interrogative mindset with an enjoyment of problem solving
• Degree / MBA / professional qualification (desirable)
• Recognised industry risk or resilience qualification (e.g. CBCI / IRM) (desirable)
