Operational Risk Associate

Description:

Our client a leading Investment Management firm are currently looking for an Operational Risk Associate to join their team. The successful candidate will will work closely with our key stakeholders across the firm’s senior management and get exposure to all elements of the firm’s Risk Management Framework and assist in its evolution and development.

Contribute to the effective management of risk within the firm by assisting in the implementation of the firms Risk Management Framework.

• Support and participate in the execution of Group Risk activities and initiatives including those specific to Data Governance.
• Participate in risk initiatives and provide advice to the business on appropriate treatment and controls.
• Research and analysis of risk events as they occur – including engagement with the various business lines to assess impact and root cause.
• Assist in the development of internal policies, procedures and training material as required.
• Strong educational background (3rd level relevant degree and/or professional qualification)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a risk-related role
• Prior experience working within Operational Risk would be highly beneficial
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Financial Services Regulation e.g. CBI, FCA, EBA and ESMA guidance on operational risk beneficial
