Limerick City and County Council has been working with the National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management of the DHLGH on the Fire Services National Mobilisation and Communications System. This is part of the CTrí Project, which is implementing national policy as approved by the Minister of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
Vacancies now exist with Limerick City and County Council for the position of Operations Manager - National Mobilisation and Communications System.
Reporting to the Head of NMAC, the NMAC Operations Manager will work closely with staff and colleagues in the Department’s National Directorate, as well as liaising with staff in local authority fire services and communications centres.
While the primary location of the Operations Manager will be in offices provided by Limerick City and County Council, the Operations Manager will work also in Mayo and Dublin Regional Communication Centres and may work at other agreed locations. The NMAC Operations Manager will also be required to travel and to attend meetings in Ireland and abroad in line with stated duties. In particular, the role will involve developing close links with Communications Centres and local authority staff, including participating in periodic visits to Communications Centres and to each local authority.
