Beacon Hospital wishes to obtain applications for the position of Orthopaedic Registrar on either full or part time, fixed term contracts.

To provide care to patients in Beacon Hospital, and to any other patients in the hospital who require acute surgical intervention that can be provided by an Orthopaedic Registrar.

The Department of Orthopaedics at Beacon Hospital is a consultant delivered service. The team consists of Orthopaedic Consultants who work in collaboration with the Orthopaedics Registrars and SHOs in patient care and in formulating management plans for patients.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• MRCS or equivalent.
• Current relevant Full Irish Medical Council Registration.
• Membership of the RCSI is desirable.
• Experience
• Experience at Registrar level of at least a year in an acute hospital setting.
• Job Specific Competencies and Knowledge
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Personal Competencies
• Proven ability to work as an effective team member.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• All posts in Beacon Hospital require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service.
• Therefore, the post holder will be required to demonstrate flexibility as and when required by their manager or hospital management.
