Packaging Project Manager

 

Description:

Responsible for all digital and software systems for the S&I function, including ERP & related software's systems, NECTAR dashboard maintenance, SharePoint website, Business Central management and upgrades, Labelling activities relating to team activates and roles.

Part of this role is also to become the Packaging expert for the business.
Responsibilities include the management of all packaging activities within a governance framework where you either advise a Project Manager or for more strategic projects taking ownership of delivering that change within our organisation.

Reporting to the Science & Innovation Manager the successful individual will require the following:

  • Degree in Food Science or equivalent related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of packaging or material related technical experience will be of benefit, ideally in a food manufacturing environment or similar.
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Good working knowledge using IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of Food Safety & Quality Management systems.
  • Basic ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to deliver research insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with internal clients & suppliers.
  • Ability to distinguish colours & the ability to taste and distinguish flavours.


Key duties will include:

  • Manages projects to a high standard by completing all required documentation and maintaining up to date and accurate reports.
  • Keep Innovating the internal digital control and communication systems utilised by the S&I department including MS (SharePoint, Teams, One Note, Power Apps...)
  • Champion within the business for physical & digital Labelling systems.
  • Leads projects to support new product launches and continuous improvements in line with the requirements and guidelines related to Innovation, Cost & Sustainability, Product Improvement, Research & Development, Supply Chain.
  • Supports Operations for implementation of new packaging and other sustainability efforts.
  • Works with cross-functional departments to drive the execution of the packaging productivity initiatives.
