We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and detail-oriented person to join our Dublin-based People Operations team. The People Operations Specialist II will support our growing team of Toasters in Europe by working on a variety of human resources (HR) processes and programs. This role offers a great opportunity to learn about Toast’s full-cycle employee experience, including onboarding, employee record management, payroll, benefits, process improvements, system implementations, and off-boarding. The People Operations Specialist II will be customer-focused, comfortable handling highly confidential information, and capable of prioritizing work and managing multiple projects simultaneously.   • Deliver seamless and positive employee experiences while managing and resolving issues of low to moderate complexity across the entire employee lifecycle across all our countries in the EMEA region.
  • Assist with Payroll processing and employee payroll enquiries for Iceland, Ireland, and other European countries
  • Handle inbound employee enquiries via email and ServiceNow for questions and issues across the employee lifecycle; identify needs, process necessary transactions in our system of record, Workday and other HR systems, and escalate issues.
  • Enter and maintain employee information into our HR Systems (including Workday) on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Assist with creation, administration, and support of variety of People programs, policies and processes ranging from onboarding, benefits, and leave management to vendor management and reporting
  • Proactively identify and lead process and policy improvement opportunities; collaborate on process and policy improvements that improve the Toaster experience; escalate issues as needed
  • Form strong collaborative relationships with other departments and partner on various projects and initiatives
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as necessary.
  • The ideal candidate in this role will be customer-oriented and team-focused with strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks with tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Growth mindset and interest/ability to learn HR processes, policies, systems, and data/reporting
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain discretion
  • Fully proficient in written and verbal English
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems is desired
  • Experience with payroll systems is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources related field preferred
  • Working knowledge (written and/or verbal) of Icelandic or Polish is preferred but not required
