Our client is a residential service for adults with disabilities whose aim is to create an environment that encourages each person to develop his or her full potential . The person in charge will oversee the running of a number of houses onsite, in association with Team Leads, Social Care Workers and volunteers

Duties
 

  • Provide updates, advice and reports to Senior Management
  • Provide leadership to staff, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, resources and motivation to fulfill their responsibilities and are able to similarly manage and support members of their work group.
  • Ensure excellent working relationships with the HSE HIQA, ensuring that standards are met on a daily basis
  • Be accountable for the overall provision of service, ensure staff are supported to carry out their responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest quality service is delivered to all service users
  • Ensure there is effective record-keeping, monitoring, reviewing and reporting in order to support the effective and orderly functioning of the organisation
  • Ensure a high quality of life for individuals in the organisation, including, person centered plans, health promotion, reviews, and risk assessments as appropriate.
  • Ensure all staff receive regular supervision and annual appraisal.
     

Requirements
 

  • A minimum of a Level 7 in Social Care Studies, Social Care Management or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care
  • Post graduate qualification ideally in Social Care Management or Management Qualification
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the health/social care experience, 3 of which should be in a supervisory capacity
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Full driving licence
