Principal Analog Design Engineer

Description:

We're partnered with a leading in electronic design with more than 30 years of experience and they're currently searching for a ' Principal Analog Design Engineer ' to join their team in Cork, Ireland.

You will lead and guide the analog IC design team, in the design of memory interface analog components used in state-of-the-art DDR memory interface PHYs in leading edge fabs.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design High-Speed Memory Interface Champions:

• Push the boundaries of data rate performance, exceeding 36 Gbps on cutting-edge technology like 5nm FinFET CMOS.
• Architect, design, and implement high-speed memory interface solutions from concept to customer fulfillment.

2. Collaboration is Key:

• Partner seamlessly with Physical Design Engineers to ensure optimal integration of circuit blocks and PMA sections.
• Engage with Technical Team Leads to share expertise and contribute to overall circuit design and architecture.
• Foster a supportive environment by mentoring Junior Design Engineers when needed.

Job Qualifications:

1. Academic and Experience Highlights:

• Hold a BEng, MEng, or equivalent qualification.
• Possess at least 4 years of CMOS design experience, ideally in CMOS SERDES, DDR, or high-speed I/O IC design.

2. Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of jitter and signal equalization techniques.
• Possess design experience within key SERDES circuit blocks (Driver, Receiver, Serializer, Deserializer, etc.).
• Understand low jitter PLL design, high-speed clock distribution, bias and bandgap circuits, and voltage regulators.
