The Role:
As a Principal DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to build and release the OpenShift AI product, continuously enhance the processes and tooling utilized by the DevOps team and identify opportunities to automate niche and routine tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable faster, more secure, reliable, and frequent releases.
- Monitor processes throughout the entire lifecycle to ensure adherence, and update or create new processes to enhance efficiency and minimize waste
- Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders, bridging functional boundaries.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by performing continuous vulnerability assessments and risk management.
- Continuously learn new technologies and maintain awareness of current industry trends.
Required Skills:
- Experience in DevOps, automation, and modern software deployment practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Jenkins, Git, Maven, shell scripting, and related technologies for monitoring and automation.
- Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with cloud computing on at least one of the following platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
- Ability to interact effectively with members of a large, geographically dispersed team.
- Experience in maintaining infrastructure while ensuring stability during the addition of new features.
- Ability to clearly articulate design and implementation choices.
- Proficiency in utilizing a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
- Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
- Experience in building and deploying large-scale applications and services
- Experience programming in Golang and/or Python is a plus.
- Experience with open-source development is advantageous.
- Experience with AI/ML projects is a significant advantage.
