Description:
We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer /Technical Lead to lead a squad of engineers to develop high-quality applications servicing the financial industry. You will have the opportunity to work on high value products that support our customers in providing excellent financial solutions.

- You are experienced with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks. 8+ years of experience working with Java, Springboot, Oracle, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS -EKS, Angular
- You have hands-on technical leadership experience leading and mentoring scrum teams focused on building software solutions for business critical, architecturally distributed experiences.
- You are experienced architecting and producing technical designs and solutions and working with squad members to break these down into deliverable pieces of work
- You have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence in meaningful discussions with partners across business and architecture.
- Application design & development experience across the following:
- Relational Database (ideally Oracle)
- REST API development
- Experience with build, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with UI technologies (Angular, Javascript or other UI framework)is a plus
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS in particular would be a plus)
- Experience of Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams
- Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
- Produce high-quality code, with high test coverage, following Fidelity processes, standards, and methodologies
- Ensuring systems in your assigned area are robust, resilient and stable
- You will ensure the end-to-end delivery of requirements or user stories meets the needs and expectations of our business partners
- A track record of mentoring junior team members
- You will contribute to the financial health of many Fidelity Investment customers as part of one of the teams that support the variety of business interests that achieve this overarching goal
