Description:
Responsibilities: (full job description available on request)
- Conducting spend analysis of procurement expenditure for inclusion in a new government plan;
- Reporting to the finance and compliance committee on the deliverables in a new government plan
- Reviewing the agencys procurement procedures and updating these procedures
- Advising budget holders on the appropriate procurement mechanism to use
- Assisting budget holders when preparing invitations to tender documents and reviewing draft invitations to tender documents prior to publication
- Reviewing and updating standard procurement templates
- Assisting with responses to questions raised by potential tenderers
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years of public sector procurement experience at a senior level
- A relevant third-level qualification to a minimum of a degree standard is essential; relevant technical knowledge and experience would also be desirable
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- A full current driving license is essential
- Working outside of standard office hours may be required
