Production Manager

Description:

Reporting to the Food Services/Consumer Foods Operations Manager – Killeshandra, the person appointed will lead and manage all aspects of production on the site. They will liaise with all relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure the production plan is achieved in a timely manner to meet shipping and customer deadlines. They will ensure maximum return from all raw materials and resources while ensuring quality of all products meet customer specifications. In addition, they will lead and motivate the production teams to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Other Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the performance of direct and indirect reportees in a systematic, objective and professional manner.

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and provide work direction; provide guidance to direct reportees in performance management and staff development, training initiatives, and business process improvements.

• Continually assess manufacturing staffing and skills requirements, developing plans to address gaps and needs.

• Develop ongoing manufacturing plans to deliver the business objectives in terms of production volumes, manufacturing controlled costs, quality and H&S requirements, etc.

• Ensure continual improvement with overall quality of product and compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Government, Audits, HR policies and requirements, IT systems and processes and legal requirements.

• Constantly review purpose and appropriateness of manufacturing KPIs consistently striving to improve efficiency and performance. Monitoring of all-factory related yields.

• Recommend and implement systems to improve productivity, equipment effectiveness, increased efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles.
