Description:
Overall management of the day to day activities of the production, warehouse and sourcing departments ensuring customer requirements are delivered in a timely, compliant, safe and cost-effective manner. Implement KPIs including efficiencies, waste management, people training and knowledge expansion, housekeeping, and cost management & reductions etc.
Annual budgeting and monthly reporting of performance against budget. Produce weekly and monthly production plans to include achieving maximum efficiencies on output per production area, per line, per person employed. Produce and implement Preventative Maintenance plan on all site assets.
Work with Quality & Compliance Manager on implementing all aspects of Health & Safety requirements as well as new projects & initiatives. Work with stock controller and supervisor to ensure all manufactured stock and raw material is accurately recorded and worked through Bill of Material correctly. Develop continuous improvement initiatives using lean/six sigma methodologies while engendering a team-based approach.
Lead the team by creating an inclusive culture to meet production KPI’s. Partner with all other departments to optimise the production, warehouse, and sourcing performance. Assist R&D and Quality in the qualification of all production equipment and facilities including review and approval of GMP qualification protocol veterinary manufacturing), reports and risk assessments.
Develop manage and monitor departments budgets/targets. Working with other departments, ensure the facility operates to all regulatory and GMP, EPA, H&S requirements. Determine appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources.
Manage people issues including absenteeism, return to work interviews, performance management, training and development, health & safety in consultation with HR and /or section manager.
Experience Required
Degree/diploma qualified in a science/engineering/manufacturing discipline. 4+ experience in production management preferable in a liquid filling/semi-automated process. Exposure to Quality Management Systems and Quality Control processes. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead a team.
Exposure to GMP environment and chemical manufacturing an advantage. Chemistry as part of a degree will suffice. Good IT skills and Strong commercial acumen. Lean/Six Sigma qualifications.
Project management skills and Planning Skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
