We are now seeking a talented Project Lead to join our team of innovators in the Mullingar facility. As a key member of our engineering department, you will manage projects from initial concept through design, manufacture, and validation, including final Site Acceptance Testing. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver technologically advanced and innovative projects of the impeccable standard that Robotics and Drives, Ltd. is known for.
Qualifications
- Primary Degree BSc / BEng required.
- Project management qualification is an advantage.
- 2+ years in a project engineering or Project Lead role.
Responsibilities
- Develop, drive and achieve the project plan for multiple machine-build projects.
- Liaise and work effectively with internal departments ensuring that all inputs and requirements are considered. Collaborate with department leaders to develop project tasks, identify resource requirements, and set project targets and timelines.
- Lead a cross-functional team (all departments) ensuring the phase owners are identified and accountable to drive efficient, on-time achievement of budget targets, timelines, and milestones, within budget and subject to other key performance criteria as set by the Company.
- Identify, manage, and support the resolution of risks and issues throughout the project, and implement learnings as part of a continuous improvement process.
- As the direct point of contact for customers during active projects, foster long-term, collaborative, sustainable relationships with our clients. Monitor and communicate project progress status and results to clients as required. As the client’s representative in-house, communicate all information and requirements to the relevant internal personnel promptly and clearly, and ensure all relevant personnel within the organisation are suitably responsive and reactive to the client’s requests.
- Communicate all relevant information about the project to project participants, internal stakeholders and the management team – this may include project status, issues, risks, queries, feedback and/or general concerns.
- Manage budgets accurately and responsibly, ensuring project material and hours are allocated correctly and within the anticipated project budget. Identify and escalate items outside of the original project scope/ budget and take appropriate corrective action.
- Forecast and plan effectively to secure required resources to complete the projects you manage; including identifying resource gaps or future training needs and advising the management team accordingly.
- Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building, coaching and motivating team members to adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones, meet project goals, and achieve their own developmental goals.
- Day-to-day management of all project delivery tasks.

- Experience working in a quality-controlled environment.
- Experience working with Robotic/automation/equipment.
- Basic understanding of PLC/pneumatic/electrical circuits.
- Proven track record in leading and managing technical projects.
- Proactive and solutions-focused with impeccable organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent technical skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project.
- Ability to collaboratively participate in and lead a cross-functional team.
