Project Manager

Description:

The Digital Trinity Infrastructure Project Manager will plan, organize and manage the delivery of the Digital Trinity Infrastructure Programme, part of Digital Trinity: Trinity’s Digital Transformation Programme.

Trinity has an ambitious program to enhance the engagement and enablement for all of the college community through a progressive digitalization of university services and enhancement of core university systems. A digital transformation programme that supports our learners and academics to feel liberated in their scholarly endeavours, unencumbered by inefficient and incoherent administration processes.

The Digital Trinity Infrastructure (DTI) Programme is a multi-million Euro enabling programme within Digital Trinity**.** DTI consists of four projects:

  • NextGen Network: The re-design of the university’s data network, the replacement of the network core (border, core, distribution) and the deployment of additional security features and controls;
  • NextGen Wi-Fi: The planning (only) for a Wi-Fi replacement to provide ubiquitous Wi-Fi 6 services across the entire university estate. This includes the replacement of the existing Network Admission Control system for students;
  • Future Hosting: The re-design of the university’s hosting infrastructure including compute, storage, network, DMZ, load balancers, backup and disaster recovery services. This include the selection and deployment of additional security features and services and further migration to cloud based IaaS/PaaS offerings;
  • Identity Management: The in place upgrade of the College’s central identity management service and the design (but not delivery) of a new future proofed identity service.

At Trinity, we are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We are ranked 3rd in the world for gender equality (Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020) and we hold an Athena SWAN Bronze award, recognising our work to advance gender equality. The University is actively pursuing a Silver level award, which it has committed to achieving by 2025. Trinity is committed to supporting the work-life balance and to creating a family-friendly working environment. Trinity welcomes applications from all individuals, including those who may have had non-traditional career paths, those who have taken time out for reasons including family or caring responsibilities, and applicants with disabilities.
