Description:
Optimize, working closely with our highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, are seeking a talented and experienced project manager for the Cork area.
Given the multitude of ongoing projects and recent tender wins, the Project Manager position is quite flexible and open to candidates with experience from various construction sectors. The specifics of the projects will be further discussed during the interview stage.
The idea candidate will have Irish Tier 1 project management experience
The successful candidate will be:
- Skilled in multitasking and managing conflicting deadlines with a proven track record.
- Ability to understand, report on, and assess the financial performance of high-value projects and contracts.
- Leadership in all Project Team functions including PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management & Project Close Out.
- Ensures the project team and supply chain possess the necessary Health & Safety skills and competencies to meet HSEQS standards.
- Manages consultant and subcontractor design in alignment with the contract, including the delivery of the BIM strategy.
- Develops and implements the Project Execution Plan, particularly focusing on HSE & Quality plans.
- Oversees the flow of information and the schedule of information required.
- Prepares reports and participates in Design Team Progress Meetings.
Requirements:
- Direct Tier 1 Experience in a Project Management Capacity
- Over 5 years’ experience in the relevant sector, or at least 2-3 projects successfully delivered across various industry sectors.
- Proficient in Design and Build JCT and NEC3 contracts, with familiarity in BREEAM/LEED standards.
- Comprehensive ‘end-to-end’ Programme Management experience.
- Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Effective in People and Performance Management.
- Skills in Team Building and Leadership.
- Possession of a professional qualification in a construction-related subject.
- Trained in IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety management.
