Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic QA Automation Engineer with at least 2 years’ experience to join the Product team. The Product team is a successful, fast-paced engineering team developing and testing high-quality features
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in quality assurance and test automation, with exposure to both web and mobile testing.
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile software products through the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts based on functional and technical requirements
Execute and monitor automated test suites to ensure the stability and reliability of our software products
Identify, analyze, and report software defects, providing clear and detailed steps to reproduce them
Ensure testing activities are well documented and results are communicated effectively to stakeholders
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
Conduct manual testing as needed to supplement automated tests and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Continuously improve and optimize the automated testing process, frameworks, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software quality assurance and incorporate them into testing practices
Skillset Needed
At least 2 years’ experience in a role with a focus on test automation
Extensive knowledge and understanding of JavaScript
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks for web and mobile platforms, particularly Cypress and Appium
Hands-on experience with REST API manual and automated testing using tools like Postman, Karate, etc.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools, e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
Working knowledge of performance and load testing tools and best practices, e.g. Flood, Apache JMeter, etc.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
Experience with Agile development methodologies and working in a cross-functional team environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven hands-on experience with one or more tools from the team’s techstack: GitHub, Jenkins, Cypress, Postman, Appium, OpenSearch
Optional: An ISTQB® Foundation Level certificate.
