Description:
As the Software Quality Engineer you will plan, develop, implement, execute and most importantly automate project-level functional tests and integration tests. Plan, develop, implement, execute and automate product-level system, installation, conversion and performance tests and 3rd party product-level installation and interface tests. You will also be responsible for analyzing results, generate defect reports in project’s defect tracking tool and verify fixes. In this role you will be working with the business team and development team to identify functional tests that determine whether the project satisfies requirements and that actual behavior match’s desired behavior which will move into you reviewing unit tests to determine product’s readiness for functional testing.
What you will do
- Develop, implement, analyze manual and automated test results and ensure test completion and automation updates.
- Document, retest and track defects until resolved. Define, produce, maintain and report applicable test metrics.
- Develop test plans, scenarios and test cases for functional, regression and system level test activities against product requirements for an enterprise web application
- Support quality and process improvement throughout development group.
- Participate in Quality Group initiatives to improve the overall product suite quality.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, quality assurance or other related field
- Experience: 3 + years quality assurance experience with database, client-server or web-based applications
- Computer skills: Jmeter, Selenium, Python, SQL, database, scripting, svn or Git
- Knowledge of business and/or manufacturing processes and testing practices.
- Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle. Excellent analytical and communications skills.
