Quality Lab Technician

Description:

We are currently seeking an innovative and driven Quality Lab Technician to join our Lean Quality team in our Production Bottling Plant on a 12-month fixed term contract located in Dublin. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing and managing all quality lab operations on a day to day basis, while continuously identifying operational and commercial improvements. You will play a pivotal role within the quality team by processing all lab samples in a timely manner while synchronising with production to meet their needs.

What’s involved?

• Conduct laboratory testing and calibration of equipment
• Carry out volume and packaging checks on finished products
• Management lab supplies and external sample testing
• Generate weekly & monthly performance reports identifying opportunities for improvement
• Model safety behaviour that will build a culture of safety as opposed to merely compliance
• Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environment, and quality legislation, procedures and standards in the workplace
• Carry out specified tests and duties so that raw materials, processing and packaging meets internal, customer and legal requirements
• Pro-actively engage with bottling operations teams to establish and remove barriers to conformance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Investigate, report and action on product related non-conformances whilst liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and develop continuous improvement plans
• Support, champion and embed an agile continuous improvement mindset
• At all times work to reduce and eliminate waste and identify opportunities to improve business processes
