Quantity Surveyor

Description:

Keyhire are looking for an experienced QS for a client in Westmeath. The QS will have around 5 years' experience, and will have worked on civils projects in the past, with some knowledge of M&E projects also.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all commercial and contractual aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the Client's Commercial/Contract Team.
• Handle project procurement, including engagement with subcontractors.
• Perform cost and risk assessments.
• Review incoming correspondence from employers, the design team, and subcontractors to identify key contractual issues and initiate responses.
• Manage the commercial elements related to subcontractors.
• Prepare and deliver project cost, margin, and cash flow reports.
• Oversee project change order processes and negotiate costs with the client.

Requirements:

• Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 5 years' experience
• Experience in civil engineering is required
• Previous experience in the electrical or mechanical sector is preferred
