We have a fantastic new vacancy for Reservations Agent in the excellent Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, Dublin 04.

This Dublin 4 hotel stands on the corner of Merrion Road and Simmonscourt Road in Ballsbridge right next door to the RDS in the heart of the business and embassy district. An iconic Victorian building, Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge combines traditional elegance with contemporary design. Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, the building now occupied by Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge was originally constructed and opened as a Masonic Female Orphan School in 1881.

This property in the heart of the Ballsbridge area has recently undergone a €9 million renovation and refurbishment which features our new Grand Stand Bar & Restaurant, Red Bean Roastery Coffee Dock, renovated reception area and 31 new Executive Bedrooms

We are looking for a talented individual with experience in resverations within the hospitality industry.

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Resverations Manager, the Reservations Agent will be the first point of contact for our guests. It is of utmost importance that the reservations department present a friendly and professional manner at all times. As a Reservations Agent, you will act as the main point of contact for guest’s bookings for bedrooms and car park, dealing with queries and cross selling of our other properties.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage Guests reservations, ensuring that their needs and wants are met to the highest standard.
• Give details of hotel facilities and pricing information.
• Upsell other areas of the hotel or other properties in the group.
• Ensure expectations are set correctly, in advance of the guest’s stay.

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role with a Reservations System, Opera would be an advantage.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential.
• Ability to cope well under pressure.
• Highly motivated, and a team player.
