Responsibilities for this Retail Supermarket Supervisor Job:
- Shop minding, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and maintaining the standards whilst managing the store on your own in the morning or closing shifts
- As a Trainee Manager, you will be assigned specific departments in the store, you will both learn and become capable of managing the performance of these departments, such as driving sales, controlling the stock level, managing promotional change over , and ensuring the profit margins are at the agreed target
- People management, developing and coaching teams, learning more about performance management, like conflict resolution and motivating colleagues, rota planning , etc.
- KPI and target management, you will enhance your commercial acumen of how the shop makes money, controls costs effectively, and drives productivity
- Customer service, enhancing customer experience through your training, resolving complaints, and training teams under you to obtain further knowledge in the industry
The ideal candidate for this Retail Supermarket Supervisor Job:
- Have strong attention to detail
- People management skills
- Grocery or fresh food knowledge with some ordering experience, ideally within a busy Retail, Supermarkets, Catering, or Cafe environment would be essential for this job.
