- Design, develop and maintain data-driven solutions for merchants who are experiencing a high number of chargebacks/internal claims/BED . Makes sound decisions that balance risk, user experience and financial performance.
- Identify and address problems and issues during normal course of work and respond to risk mitigation needs quickly to solve issues with minimum guidance.
- Act as subject matter expert, supporting their merchant portfolio to minimize excessive claims and chargebacks on the PayPal network, partner cross functionally to deploy successful solutions, as well as be able to clearly articulate and explain risk concepts to non-technical partners.
- collaborate across multiple functions, to deliver risk education and best practice recommendations, ensuring that our Merchants are successfully equipped to manage merchandise related loss and incoming abuse pressure. They continually improve and apply their analytical skills to protect PayPal's large merchant (Enterprise & Mid-Market) portfolio.
- Develop deep, trusted relationships with merchant stakeholders across all portfolios to ensure best-in-class customer experience.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on matters of significance to the business.
- Support the team in deriving strategic insights from large amount of data.
- Communicate, present documented findings to stakeholders, both internal stakeholders and with the merchant directly. Analyst is required to speak articulately with merchant about findings and communicate the complexities of the problem clearly.
- experience in payment trends shaping, card brand rules and regulations, as well as be able to interact productively within all merchant verticals to drive best-in-class customer experience.
- Strong in analytics and problem solving. Experienced with predicative modeling, data mining and analytical tools like SQL and advantage
- Proven experience in employing analytics solution on real world problems.
- Collaborate with multiple team inside risk as well as with business team to understand the needs of risk management.
- Proven ability to work independently and proficiently on well-defined projects; Focuses primarily on how to achieve overall business objectives of a project with speed and quality
- Industry experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services is a strong plus
