Risk Analyst

Description:

This role will assist the Governance, Risk and Control Manager reporting on and review the quality of information in relation to the Risk and Control environment within Aviva first line functions, enabling managers to run this element of their business effectively

This position would suit someone with one to three years’ experience in a financial services corporate position who is interested in risk. Any previous experience with Risk responsibilities would be a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc running of reports
• Monitoring and tracking of risk and control assessments, errors, issues, audit and risk monitoring points
• Supporting with planning, scheduling and minuting Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) workshops
• Consistency and quality reviews and checks
• Supporting with workshop, forum and committee inputs and outputs (agenda, packs, minutes, action logs, etc.)
• Review, maintenance and updating of procedure documents.
• Supporting the business and answering queries in relation to the Risk and Control system

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Ideally working experience within Insurance or Financial Services at a minimum
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with stakeholder management
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Ability to effectively prioritise workloads and work to critical deadlines
• Organisational skills & time management
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
