A well-known insurance provider has an amazing opportunity for a Qualified Actuary who is ready for a big move. This position, a Risk and Capital Specialist, calls for a Life actuary with previous experience in both a risk and reinsurance space. The successful individual will be a confident and communicative team player. The role is based in Bermuda and will require you to relocate.

About the Risk and Capital Specialist role

The Risk and Capital Specialist will report to both the Risk and Capital Teams. If you work well in a collaborative environment, this is a role for you.

Duties for the role include but are not limited to:

• Contributing to all aspects of the organisation’s Risk Management processes
• Communicating with and presenting to Stakeholders
• Taking the lead on scenario and stress testing
• Contributing to the enhancement and maintenance of the Group internal Economic Capital model
• Supporting and engaging with ad-hoc projects and cross functional communication

Actuarial skills required

The position would suit a Qualified Actuary or CFA. Candidates must have a Life reinsurance/insurance background and ideally have the following:

• Experience working with Risk in a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance capital internal models an advantage
• A working background in Solvency II or Bermuda EBS (preferable)
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
