Sales Account Manager

 

Description:

Are you an Account Manager working in the Food/FMCG industry and looking for a new challenge? I am looking to talk to managers who can focus on proactively managing national accounts to achieve sales and retailer category growth targets through optimisation within my client's brand.

 

Your Role:

  • Achieve volume and profit growth targets in line with strategic and company objectives and values
  • Maintaining and growing the business with existing customers
  • Develop and negotiate annual Joint Business Plans with key retail and convenience customers
  • Gather, analyse, and provide insight on the category through consultation with key accounts and relevant industry bodies
  • Liaise with members of Senior Management in developing weekly, monthly, quarterly action plans and category plans for customers that are in line with the annual account plan and the overall company strategic plan
  • Develop a relationship with each relevant member of the trading and supply chain teams in each of the key accounts
  • Build and manage meaningful business relationships in line with company values and culture
  • Communication to business stakeholders of all sales, marketing, and product development activities
  • Responding to, initiating, and coordinating customer NPD projects in conjunction with category / innovation / insight and marketing teams
  • Sales forecasting and demand planning for the retail business
  • Monthly reporting to senior management on performance versus plan and budget- plus addressing any issues, concerns, and future opportunities
  • Working closely with the customer service and supply chain teams to communicate any issues or concerns back to the business
  • Promote and actively engage in an environment of compliance, continuous improvement, responsiveness to change and innovation within the Company

 

Your profile:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in FMCG National Account Mgt / Business Development
  • Strong numeric & commercial acumen to proactively manage major accounts to maintain product margin and meet account targets
  • Experience collating Joint Business Plans is essential
  • Exceptional abilities in relationship building and teamwork
  • Strong capacity for planning and organising
  • Displays resilience and the capability to work
  • Must hold a full clean driving licence
  • Hybrid – 2-3 days required on site
