Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Business Development Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to our client’s esteemed clientele, responsible for cultivating and nurturing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Reporting directly to the Head of Business, this pivotal role involves spearheading various aspects of sales strategy development, execution, and strategic account management, along with providing valuable market insights to inform our business and product strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive new business acquisition.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end process for Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Identify and capitalize on new opportunities within existing and complementary sectors.
- Support the bid process, including application, fulfillment, demonstrations, and pricing.
- Proactively develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Cultivate and expand relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Effectively manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, including conducting bi-annual customer surveys.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal service functions to optimize customer experience.
- Continuously gather and share industry intelligence to inform business and product strategies.
- Collaborate closely with product management to align offerings with customer needs and market trends.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by authoring white papers and representing the company at conferences to generate leads and build relationships.
Required skills:
- 10+ years of sales and business development experience in the technology industry, with a focus on providing direct customer support pre- and post-implementation.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical and business requirements to diverse audiences.
- Strong technical acumen and product knowledge.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to showcase products and services as strategic solutions for customers through presentations, conferences, and networking events.
- Experience selling evolving products and understanding the value proposition of current and future offerings.
- Proficiency in identifying integrated opportunities and delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Willingness to travel for client visits and conferences.
