An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event & Golf Sales Executive to join the Sales & Marketing team at Sheen Falls Lodge.
- To assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in dealing with specific areas of sales for Sheen Falls Lodge & the Ring of Kerry Golf Course.
Responsibilities
- To develop a strategy to grow green fee revenue
- Memberships – review the current structures in place and devise a plan to increase memberships and revenue. To source new individual and corporate membership for the club.
- To be proactive in the sales & marketing of the golf and club product.
- Attend golf related trade shows where required on both a national and international level.
- Research sales opportunities to grow revenue at the golf course – society events, company team building opportunities, club house events such as birthday parties, celebrations, company events, etc.
- Liaise with the golf tour operators and keep them updated on developments at the course. Contract rates with them.
- To assist with the preparation and promotion of any tournaments.
- To deal with any group related enquiries for both golf & F&B. Meet and greet at the course on the day of them taking place.
- To advise players of the current terms and conditions of play and ensure that players adhere to club rules at all time.
- Your main priority will be to generate revenue and new business opportunities so you will need excellent communication skills and be highly motivated. There is an expectation that an agreed number of clients will be visited per month – existing clients and new prospects. Travel nationally to Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and any other locations with potential business for the hotel.
- Specific areas of responsibility include targeted sales calls to the following markets: National Corporate Accounts, Incentive/Conference Planners, Tour Operators, Clubs & Societies and Associations/niche groups, with particular emphasis on bedroom/ group occupancy as well as Conference/F&B/Spa and Activity Sales.
- It may be required to attend events on behalf of Sheen Falls Lodge outside of regular business hours in the case of networking, business related events, hosting fam trips or attending trade events when required.
- To deal with current levels of business in addition to establishing new business for the group within the mentioned mix.
- To deal with the co-ordination and administration of all aspects of sales, namely prospecting, planning, development, sales presentations & analysis, closing & cost analysis.
- Ensure that the corporate objectives are achieved by endeavoring to meet the sales targets and budgets.
- Assist and initiate the preparation of action plans for achieving the desired results.
- Keep records up to date of all meetings held and provide reports to the DOS/GM on a weekly basis.
