Sales Manager

 

Description:

The Sales manager is responsible for driving sales growth within their assigned team, developing and executing targeted sales strategies, and leading a group of sales professionals. This role is crucial in expanding the customer base, increasing market share, and ensuring the team consistently meets its sales targets. The Sales Manager will be pivotal in fostering a high-performance culture and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to achieve team-specific sales targets and overall objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Director to align team strategies with broader regional goals.
     

Team Management And Development
 

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, ensuring they meet individual and team sales goals.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for team members.
     

Sales Performance Monitoring
 

  • Monitor and analyse sales metrics, ensuring the team meets or exceeds targets.
  • Provide detailed performance reports to the Regional Sales Director, adjusting strategies as necessary based on data insights.
     

Customer Relationship Management
 

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and work with the team to ensure a high standard of customer service.
     

Market Analysis And Strategy
 

  • Conduct research to identify emerging market trends and potential growth opportunities.
  • Develop actionable insights and strategies to enhance market presence within the team's territory.
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration
 

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure the seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving sales processes and outcomes.
     

Specific Targets
 

  • Achieve and maintain a minimum of 6% month-over-month sales growth within the team.
  • Create and maintain a positive working culture, which could be measured by way of ENPS or other means.
  • Ensure a minimum of 90% of the sales team meets or exceeds individual sales targets.
     

Qualifications
 

  • Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
