Security & Safety Manager

 

Description:

The EMEA Security & Safety Manager leads all aspects of physical safety and security operations in Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia region including Dublin, London, Krakow, Copenhagen, Montpellier, and other smaller field sites. The role leads the region’s physical security operations and health & safety strategy.

  • Plans, implements, and verifies risk control and compliance programs to ensure the employment of safe work practices including, but not limited to: emergency response, workplace violence, fire prevention, injury and illness prevention, and correct handling techniques

  • Leads Investigations of EMEA safety and physical security incidents and provides well-articulated reports, briefings, and action recommendations.

  • Conducts physical security assessments of offices in the EMEA region.

 

  • Prepares, implements, and leads a volunteer Zendesk Emergency Response Team for offices in the region.

  • Coordinates daily communications with the Global Security Operations Center in Madison, WI.

  • Familiarizes staff with occupant emergency plans and incident response protocols.

  • Partners with the EMEA regional Workplace Experience team to coordinate updates within the security access control system.

  • Reviews new construction projects and changes for impacts and facilitates continued compliance with all relevant partners.

  • Conducts required training to ensure compliance with legal safety training requirements and Zendesk standards.

  • Develops safety and emergency preparedness protocols and training for staff, liaises with individual offices’ local emergency services, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability overseeing security guard force operations

  • Experience using the S2 physical access control system is a plus

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (years of experience may be substituted for education)

  • Must be highly adaptable and flexible

  • Understands OKRs, metrics collection, and analysis

  • Ability to travel on a limited basis.

  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally
