The Senior Analyst will be a key member of a newly formed Alexion Global Finance Services (GFS) planning and management reporting (P&MR) team providing financial and business insights, guidance and decision support to a number of our key EMEA markets. This position is located at our offices in Dublin, Ireland and will have substantial interaction across various functions and geographies.

The key focus of the position is to provide financial guidance in the form of planning and analysis and support to the business, with the ability to work cross functionally.

This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed team and gain great insights into the structure and operations of AstraZeneca’s Alexion Rare Disease Unit. The successful individual will need to be a self-starter, keen to learn, flexible and able to operate in a very dynamic environment.

We are accountable to the AZ Alexion Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with exceptional business analysis and insight, enable our customers to focus on AZ's strategic priorities. Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning, forecasting and management reporting.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play an essential role in supporting your Manager in the delivery of the team objectives. You will be expected to build and maintain a strong relationship with internal customers and Business Partners.

  • Perform month-end close FP&A activities and communicate financial results in a timely manner
  • Support quarterly financial planning process
  • Working closely with business stakeholders providing analytical support
  • Perform detailed P&L reviews
  • Provide insight of financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting
  • Enable quality reporting through management of master data, hierarchies, reconciling both SAP and non-SAP data.
  • Optimize and standardize report catalogues and packs
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint (Financial modelling a plus)
