The Role

People Services is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Analyst, Ireland Payroll reporting to Senior Manager- Americas and Ireland Payroll. This position will be based in Plaza 254, Dublin.

Based on your function, department or individual position, you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Manager the option to work remotely up to 50% of the time, over a two-week period, with the flexibility to choose the days that align with your collaboration needs

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the overall delivery of Ireland payroll services to ensure compliance with organizational and legal requirements; ensure all payroll operations are processed timely and accurately

  • Identify, test and implement process improvements related to payroll delivery
  • Analyze, resolve and/or appropriately escalate concerns/ issues to management
  • Use global payroll tools to prepare payroll calculations to ensure proper payroll processing
  • Facilitate and participate in governance process used for analysis and approval of payroll work requests and projects.
  • Partner with Finance team to help reconcile general ledger discrepancies for payroll items
  • Partner with other Capability Center teams to ensure programs and processes are configured and functioning correctly, perform root cause analysis on errors and work with vendors on resolution.
  • Collaborate with Outsourced Service Provider regarding all policies, programs and processes related to payroll.
  • Partner with the BMS HR Service Delivery Team to ensure service provider is achieving SLA’s
  • Manage employee queries via the company’s CRM, while adhering to KPI’s and delivering high quality customer service
  • Assess the delivery impact any HR management policy changes, regulatory or compliance changes may have on the service provider and BMS Payroll operations
  • Participate in the implementation of payroll system solutions for acquisitions; may oversee parts of the implementation
  • Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in payrolls remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices
  • Interface with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Act as back up for one of the US or CA payrolls
  • Acts as a resource for more junior colleagues may lead small projects

Must have requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ireland Payroll, Payroll Tax, and Payroll Accounting and related end to end processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, HRBPs and People Services team members
  • Degree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with end-to -end payroll processing including: time management, leave administration, registration, pay processing, payroll taxes, reporting, and experience dealing with payroll queries and issues from employees
  • Must be customer-focused and comfortable working with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
  • Must be well organized with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Full understanding of all payroll inputs and how they correlate to the pay slip and taxation of same
  • Strong SAP Payroll technical expertise including integration points with Organizational Management and Personnel Administration and SAP Finance is preferred.
