Senior Application Analyst

CHI will work with Epic Systems, a software company who are a world leader in this technology, to implement an electronic health record (EHR) system across the organisation, which will go live at the same time as the new hospital opens – as Ireland’s first fully digitalised hospital.

The EHR Senior Application Analyst is a core member of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) team and will be assigned to either the Medications Management or Oncology team. The post-holder is responsible for design and configuration of the medications management or oncology build and will also support testing, training and organisational readiness activities during the implementation phase and subsequently support post go-live stabilisation and optimisation phases. The post holder may be expected to supervise and provide day-to-day line-management to EHR Application Support team members and assist the wider EHR team to meet the needs of the operational, administrative and clinical deliverables of CHI’s EHR programme.

As part of this role the EHR Senior Application Analyst will be required to attend Epic Systems training in the USA, leading to an internationally recognised qualification in system configuration.

• A Pharmacist registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• A Pharmacy Technician, who meets one of the following criteria:
• awarded a Pharmaceutical Technician’s Diploma or Certificate by an accredited body.
• previous or current employment as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
