Senior Business Consultant

Description:

As a Senior Business Consultant supporting Fidelity’s Workplace Investing (WI) business, you will be a member of the Mobile Experience (MOBsters) squad. In this role, you will work with your squad to provide effective product partnership through communication, risk mitigation, quality assurance, effective delivery and positive relationship building. As a Senior Business Consultant, you must be a highly motivated self-starter with a sense of ownership, attention to detail, and be an effective liaison between stakeholders and your team.

In a typical week, you will make a difference by quickly understanding new situations (including their opportunities and risks), effectively explaining how things work, coming to the table with ideas and solutions, understanding how your work fits into the bigger picture, and establishing relationships across the organization. This role will provide you with opportunities to grow out your knowledge and abilities and Fidelity will tap into your expertise to better help employers and employees meet their goals.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize and interpret information.
• Ability to set expectations with others and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Problem solving skills with the ability to assimilate new information, draw conclusions and communicate ideas for the purposes of improving processes or developing new products.
• Experience in various business analysis methodologies. For example, data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing and/or product documentation.
• Ability to actively participate in and keep meetings on track.
• Strong consulting orientation with a demonstrated ability to build relationships within teams, business units and across key partner groups.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities with strong organization and time management skills.
• Flexible, with a willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the squad.
• Familiar with the Agile methodology concept and experience in agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Mural or similar Agile backlog management tools (training is available)
• Continuous refinement of product backlog items in preparation for sprint planning.
• 5-7 years transferable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
