Description:

To advise, counsel and serve as a subject matter expert on various Employee Relations (ER) issues - including investigations, performance matters, violations of policy, progressive discipline, involuntary terminations, employment law, interpretation and administration of corporate human resources policies/procedures for Ireland and UK.

Be part of a collaborative & knowledgeable ER team that supports & advises senior stakeholder across the business on ER related issues, whilst also supporting peers across the larger EMEA HR teams in Limerick & London.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Includ

  • Lead the investigation of grievances, disciplinaries and other formal procedures in conjunction with designated line managers or independently to include performance and probation management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in providing advice to HR colleagues and managers on all ER and policy issues.
  • Review and develop HR policies and procedures (in conjunction with the policy lead) to meet the needs of the organisation, respond to changing legislation, and facilitate the adoption of best practices.
  • Partner with Employee Relations Manager, EMEA ER partners and global ER partners to undertake and support ER programs and initiatives and ad hoc projects.
  • Assisting with employee litigation in partnership with internal employment counsel.
  • Manage the handling of data subject access requests.
  • Manage the handling of medical accommodations including risk assessment and reasonable adjustments as well as flexible working application process.
  • Deliver manager training on ER related policies and procedures.

 

Skills/ Qualifications

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Demonstrable consulting experience as a senior specialist ER consultant or in a generalist/hr business partner role with a strong focus on ER
  • Track record of independently conducting investigations, performance and probation management, disciplinary and grievances
  • Experience of applying ER protocols in Ireland
  • Detailed knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices (UK employment law knowledge an advantage)
  • Good analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong influencing skills & ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong risk awareness
