Senior Data Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work within a collaborative team focused on creating and maintaining the data infrastructure that enables various other data functions. This includes collecting and organizing data, maintaining data lakes and data warehouses and building data pipelines to move data between systems.

What you’ll do

• Analyse and organize raw data
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (both streaming and batch)
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Maintain analytics database
• Develop analytical tools and programs

Essential Technical Skills

• Database Systems (SQL and NoSQL, in particular - MySQL)
• Data Warehousing Solutions (Redshift, BigQuery, etc)
• Data Lakes Solutions (S3, Parquet, etc)
• Distributed Database Systems
• Knowledge of Programming Languages (eg. Python)
• Experience with ETL Tools / Frameworks
• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience with AWS Stack
