Senior Data Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer with excellent data skills to work in the Fidelity Brokerage Technology organization. You will work on a software team responsible for providing investment performance measurement analytics for our clients in the financial trading industry.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years of design and development experience
• Strong experience with relational database technologies (preferably Oracle), Strong SQL, Performance tuning, batch, and ETL
• Strong knowledge and experience working in a Unix environment and writing/maintaining shell scripts
• Experience in Snowflake and data lake implementations desirable but not essential
• Python or Java development experience beneficial
• Working knowledge with any of the following would be a bonus: Apache Spark, Cloud (preferably AWS), AWS Batch, and Lambda development
• Understanding of continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools CI/CD
• Experience of working within an Agile Scrum development environment
• Experience of working with a distributed team
• Proven track record of product delivery
• Financial Services industry experience
