Senior Data Scientist

Description:

As a member of our Data Science team, you'll be focused on experimentation and metrics.

You'll design, implement, and analyze experiments for product and business objectives including our search engine, revenue optimization, ad spend, and app installs.

You'll collaborate with team members across the organization and drive impact through these experiments, validating direction and building trust through data while becoming an expert in our key metrics like searches, installs, and revenue.

In addition, you'll own key pieces of our data pipeline. You'll help our team identify and fix data integrity issues. You'll implement features like derived data for internal users, like our finance team.

Our data meets rigorous privacy standards and is necessarily sparse; you'll have to think creatively to derive substantial and actionable insights from less data than you may be used to, but our team is committed to thriving in this unique environment.

What You Will Bring To DuckDuckGo

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science
• Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through post-mortem.
• Skills to wrangle vague problems, propose innovative solutions, and execute them with a strong focus on metrics.
• Experiment design and analysis expertise.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Tableau, our business intelligence tool.
• Moderate-to-advanced programming experience, preferably in a high-level language like Python.
• And the basics: expertise in SQL and query optimization; familiarity with columnar databases (e.g., Redshift, Clickhouse, BigQuery, or Druid); expertise building data visualizations and dashboards.
