Description:
The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining mission-critical DevSecOps applications and managing systems that allow for the efficient integration and delivery of software services. They will lead the technical scoping, design and delivery of a product deliverable/workstream, and will act as lead technical teams of 3-5 associates.
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
- Design and implement of all aspects of DevSecOps automation capabilities for applications and ML applications.
- Build DevSecOps automations on cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP):
- Data science model review, run the code refactoring and optimization, containerization, deployment, versioning, and monitoring of its quality.
- Data science models testing, validation and tests automation.
- Communicate with a team of data scientists, data engineers and architect, document the processes.
- Build CI/CD pipelines orchestration by OpenShift, Tekton, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Circle CI, Airflow or similar tools.
- Automate all aspects of software delivery lifecycle.
- Drive implementation and maintenance of cloud native solutions and practices.
- Develop and strengthen technical skills of team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Work with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of DevSecOps objectives with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with other technology teams such as development, infrastructure, and QA to ensure smooth deployment and delivery of releases.
- Ensure stable and scalable operation of systems through proactive monitoring, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Ensure best practices are followed in areas such as security, infrastructure, and code quality.
- Foster a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and experimentation.
Leadership:
- Provide mentorship to junior associates.
- Identify skills gaps within the team and coordinate training or learning opportunities to address.
- Navigate complex or ambiguous problems and guide the team towards effective solutions.
- Facilitate discussions to resolve technical disagreements, guiding the team towards alignment whilst considering diverse viewpoints.
- Identify potential risks, dependencies and challenges early, working with the team to mitigate them and develop contingency plans.
- Identify performing outliers and proactively highlight to management to ensure appropriate development plan.
- Active contribution to team building initiatives to support team growth and create process efficiencies.
Communication:
- Communicate with all levels in the company and adjust content to the audience as necessary.
- Engage with the agile team and cross-functional stakeholders to interpret and understand project requirements and business context for potential data solutions.
- Provide impactful insights based on analysis/build outcomes and make recommendations to leadership and influence the team to increase business impact.
- Provide clear executive communication to senior leadership as required to ensure awareness of key product updates and provide a channel of communication between senior leadership and the project team.
- Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
- Articulate clearly the business requirements, project scope and individual responsibilities to the workstream.
- Present technical findings internally.
- Seek and provide regular feedback amongst colleagues and actively share feedback on technical team with the respective managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in a DevSecOps or Cloud Engineering role or related field.
- Experience with DevSecOps Frameworks (Gitlab/Github/Tekton/etc),
- Experience with Ansible, ArgoCD and ArgoWorkFlow.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Skillset:
- YAML pipeline design and implementation on GitHub/Gitlab/Tekton or similar.
- Hands on programming – Python/Go/Ruby.
- Serverless stack AWS, AWS SageMaker, GCP.
- Containerisation.
- Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure.
- CloudFormation/Terraform.
