We are now looking for a talented and experienced Senior Digital Developer (.Net)to join our dynamic team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using C# and .NET. The role requires a solid understanding of backend technologies, such as API development, data management and server-side programming.

Working within our large Application Development team, you will be part of a highly motivated and skilled team of IT professionals working to achieve maximum value for our customers and all our IT investments across a range of technologies.

This role will involve working closely with wider IT Delivery and CIO teams including Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Cyber Security and the Cloud Desk to implement architectures and ensuring that all projects conform to our development standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible developing and supporting ESB’s digital applications, which include:

• .NET Web and API Applications
• Sitefinity CMS Platform for Web Content Management
• Creating and consuming RESTful APIs
• Responsive UI Design
• Use of Microsoft Azure Cloud for Platform as a Service (PaaS) components
• Use of Microsoft Azure DevOps for Agile Development

The role reports to the Application Development Team Lead, IT Delivery. The role is based in F27, ESB Head Office, Dublin in line with ESB's Smart Working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain .Net Web and API applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges and requirements
• Design, develop and implement RESTful APIs and web services
• Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code that adheres to best practices and industry standards
• Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging of codebase
• Optimize and tune the performance of applications
• Integrate applications with internal and third-party APIs and services
• Contribute to the design and architecture of systems
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in back-end development
