About Your New Job:

• Oversee the entire process of fixed foundations for offshore wind farms, ensuring designs meet technical standards, quality requirements, and project success criteria throughout all phases.
• Provide strategic leadership to various offshore wind (OSW) project teams, serving as the recognized technical expert for OSW foundations and offering optimal solutions.
• Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of OSW foundation engineering, risks, challenges, and solutions, particularly for fixed bottom designs.
• Lead the development and implementation of engineering strategies, established contracts for OSW foundation packages, and managing critical aspects such as tendering, contract negotiations, and high-value design contracts.
• Lead critical technical reviews, and certification processes, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery, acting as the lead foundations expert.
• Additionally, represent the organization at industry events, present technical papers, and build strategic relationships with stakeholders.

What Skills You Need:

• Level 8 Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the area of marine infrastructure engineering including the design of large-scale foundation structures similar to those employed for wind turbine generators and offshore sub-stations.
• Extensive experience in design and/or design management of offshore foundations (monopiles and jackets)
• Knowledge and experience in leading, planning, managing, and executing offshore foundation design contracts, design management, program management, cost and risk control.
• Extensive understanding and working knowledge of all relevant design codes and standards.
• Experience in integrated load analysis, primary and secondary steel designs, corrosion protection systems, structural materials, welding, fatigue, bolt design, FE analysis, environmental loading, transport and installation, operation, and maintenance.
• A demonstrated focus on commercial optimization of technical aspects of OSW foundation designs
• Strong capability in assessing, communicating and managing project critical technical risks.
• A strong understanding of the implications of engineering project decisions (e.g. impacts on commercial, program, health & safety, environmental, planning, etc.).
• A strong ability to identify project work requirements and to initiate necessary work with limited oversight.
• The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
